Pop the Top is a craft beer shop is located in the historic South End district in Charlotte, NC. We offer and highlight amazing handpicked craft beer of North and South Carolina as well as local kombucha, cider and a delicious variety of wine.
We believe that good craft beer is not just a commodity; it is a passion that begins from the ground up. These products are created by everyday people who followed their dreams of creating and selling their own beer or wine and are made with a genuine passion.
As owners, we strive to bring that same pride and passion to every aspect of our shop. From locally made snacks and dog treats to custom hand-crafted beer flight paddle boards, we are truly proud to be a small business and to work with other small businesses in and around the area.
We are always available to chat or educate about craft beer, and the growing Charlotte area.
On a personal note, we have both lived in North Carolina for over 30 years and met during our senior year at NC State; GO PACK! Our logo is a tribute to our late black Labrador, Louie, who taught us how to slow down and enjoy the simpler things in life. Our shop is both kid & pet-friendly and we hope you feel at home anytime you stop by.

Our Location
Whether it’s by light rail, bus, car, bike, or your own two feet via the Charlotte rail trail we are accessible by any mode of transportation that you choose!
The South End District is located on the southern outskirts of uptown Charlotte. We are at the corner of Camden Road and West Blvd and adjacent to the East/West Blvd light rail stop and approximately 1 mile from Bank of America stadium. The area is in the middle of a major development boom that will continue to build into a highly dense community with plenty of walkability, bicycling, & scootering!
